JOEY VOTTO TAKES A THREE BALL WALK! I have posted several times, including here, about instances when major league umpires have lost track of the count of balls and strikes and have let a batter take a base on balls after only three balls. It is always astounding because there are four umpires on the field, and there are a lot of people on the opposing team who are watching the game.
