CHRISTOPHER WALKEN AND THE METER OF THE RAVEN. Last Halloween, I posted here a Youtube video of Christopher Walken’s brilliant reading of The Raven. Until I heard Walken, I had thought of The Raven as having a galumphing rhythm. Notice that Walken lets the meter operate in the background just as Kenneth Branagh does in the St. Crispen’s Day speech.
