HENRY’S CHOICE OF GOOD GROUND. I posted here about the crucial importance of good ground at Bannockburn and Againcourt. In this post, I quoted a Scottish website which said “The Scots carefully chose their ground at Bannockburn.” In Adam Thorpe’s essay, he quotes Anne Curry, Professor of Medieval History at Southampton, that Henry sent out scouts the night before and chose an “area of soil [that] is easier and less muddy than the French side beyond.”
So Henry chose his ground at Agincourt.
