“FORGETTING IS THE FRIEND OF LEARNING.” One research finding about studying was completely new to me. The idea is that spacing the study of a subject is helpful as are frequent quizzes. The reason offered is that forgetting and relearning material is “self-reinforcing.” Dr. Nate Kornell, a psychologist at Williams College says: “The idea is that forgetting is the friend of learning.”
