FLIGHTS TO HONG KONG. I have always had trouble sleeping on airplanes. In 1997, I had to make two round-trip flights to Hong Kong with less than three weeks between them. The time shift involved was 12 hours. I knew I would be tired on the return flight on the second trip. Knowing that Brian Jacques targeted a young audience, I brought one of the books in the Redwall series that Annalisa and Nick enjoyed so much. I finished it. It was a good read and not demanding. Two days later I couldn’t remember anything about it. There are people who make those long-distance flights many times a year. I don’t know how they do it.
