REPORT ON THE CHRISTMAS SENTIMENTALITY CHALLENGE. A report on our Christmas ritual, the one in which I read aloud Pearl Buck’s book CHRISTMAS DAY IN THE MORNING, and we see how far I can get before tearing up.
There were some disputes about the scoring. Nick and Annalisa wanted to call the finish at only 37 seconds. I disputed this. There was another dispute at the one minute and five second mark. Finally, Nick announced that he was stopping the timing at one minute and 40 seconds because there was “full meltdown”.
