OUR INFLATABLE PENGUIN. Our inflatable penguin has been installed on our front step for the last couple weeks. When my brother Elmer and I were away at school, we brought home an inflatable penguin, waited for my mother to leave the room, and blew it up. It dominated the room. Every year after that, when we returned home for Christmas, the penguin was in an upstairs window to greet us. Our current penguin is inflated by some kind of motor rather than by lung power.
