CHRISTMAS RITUALS. I posted on the inflatable penguin because Annalisa heard me telling somebody about the history of the penguin and told me she had never heard the story. Christmas Past accounts for a lot of the joys of Christmas. Each Christmas, Annalisa and Mary Jane bake julecage from my Mother’s recipe and bake gingerbread cookies from the world’s best gingerbread recipe (one of the ingredients is hot coffee). As I posted here, a new tradition, devised by Annalisa and Nick, is that I try to read Pearl Buck’s CHRISTMAS DAY IN THE MORNING on Christmas Day without tearing up. We have already watched The Muppet Christmas Carol.
